There Kia Forte provides two engine options. You can either have the 2.0-liter I-4 that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque or the 1.6-liter turbocharged I-4 that generates 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The former is the base engine occurring in every trim except the GT. Both engines power the front wheels but use different gearboxes. The standard engine uses a six-speed manual gearbox or a smooth CVT, while the turbocharged engine has a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard or an optional six-speed manual.

Interior

The interior of the Kia Forte is straightforward and neat. The dash is uncluttered with the standard eight-inch touchscreen dominating the center console. The seats are comfortable enough for long trips with an exceptionally spacious cabin.
